The International Center for Education and Youth Development (ICEYD)
offers an independent, coeducational, youth leadership exchange program
for in-school students in Nigeria and the United States; and training
and technical assistance to improve the quality and standard of education
in grades K-12. A residential leadership high school is under consideration.
Founded in 2003, ICEYD is located in the San Fernando Valley of suburban
Los Angeles, in sunny southern California. The Center was founded to
develop a cadre of youth leaders with a culture of public service,
democratic values, and entrepreneurial spirit. International students
and faculty at ICEYD create a superb multicultural academic environment
to prepare youth to excel in college and in the world.
The mission of the International Center for Education and Youth Development
is to prepare students with promise for higher education, lifelong learning,
and leadership; and to enhance their intellectual, physical, social,
emotional, spiritual, and artistic growth so that they may realize their
power for good as leaders of local and world communities.
